The Subtle art of not giving a F*CK
-
"The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson is a self-help book that challenges traditional self-improvement advice. Manson argues that constantly pursuing positivity and happiness can actually lead to dissatisfaction. Instead, he advocates for embracing life's struggles and accepting that not everything will go perfectly. The book emphasizes choosing what to care about wisely, focusing on what truly matters, and letting go of superficial concerns. By acknowledging limitations and being selective about what we invest our time and energy in, Manson suggests that we can lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

I initially thought this book was a gimmick and avoided it because I’m not a fan of authors or public speakers who use curse words as marketing buzzwords. While I joke about it, it has become a common trend. However, I was surprised to find that the book delivers a hard-hitting reality check. It emphasizes, with clear examples, the delusion that there’s a one-size-fits-all solution to our problems and that the relentless pursuit of happiness and positivity often leads to dissatisfaction. I’ve always believed in embracing life’s struggles, and this book echoed that sentiment in a refreshingly honest, no-nonsense way.

I found this book to be very inspirational, but also quite sad. The late J Dilla was a powerful force in the hip-hop world, and he left behind a lasting legacy. However, t was difficuly to reaf about the hallenged he faced and the many peopole who tried to take advantage of his sucess. The ending was particularly heartbreaking given the circumstances of his passing. nonetheless, his legacy is truly incredible.
